Inactive Google My Business Pages Might Lose Google Verification

Last week, Google announced that businesses who have not checked their ‘Google My Business’ for a longer time may risk losing their page verification. Google’s Jade Wang made the following statement –

In some of the cases, we may get in touch with users of Google My Business through email to confirm that whether they are actively managing their business page or not. If a user does not respond to our attempt to contact him or her and does not log into their respective Google My Business account for a considerable time period, they we may turn the verified pages into un-verified in the account. We have decided to do so in order to give users the best experience when they are searching for local businesses like yours. In case by mistakenly your page has become unverified, please connect with us to get assistance and restore your verification.

He also added anyone who is having listing in Google My Business accounts have to login and update the post at least once in every six months or the accounts will become un-verified by Google.
